I have worked with many singers and songwriters and no two are the same.  Some arrive with a complete song consisting of lyrics, music and arrangement ideas while others simply have some words and a melody. 

Regardless of how far you have progressed with your song, I can help you to crystallise your ideas and help you to convert it into a finished recording.  I can offer composition, production and arrangement ideas and also provide instrumentation if required.

Voice Over
Artists


It is essential that presenters and voice-over artists have a high quality demo to represent them.  Listen to some examples here.  At the Soundworks all speech recording occurs in an acoustically treated vocal booth and if required, digital ambience will be added during the mixing stage.

I can help you select suitable material to record and, if needed, offer production advice.  I also have a large selection of library music and stings that can be used to support your voice.

Editing,
Mastering & CD Duplication


 
I offer a full editing and mastering service that  uses state of the art software.  Existing material can be transferred from most digital and analogue sources such as vinyl, cassette, mini-disc, DAT or CD.  Analogue sourced material can be de-hissed and cleaned up before progressing to the mastering stage. 

There is a lot more to mastering than simply passing it through a brick-wall limiter to increase perceived loudness.  Equalisation and compression also play a large part and they are all interactive so an accurate monitoring system and a good pair of ears are essential.

I also offer CD duplication with full colour on-body printing.  I can typically turn around short-run orders within 48 hours.  For more information on long-run and glass-master duplication orders, contact me to discuss your requirements.
